LoL Season 11: Changes to the Ranked System
It is recommended that we start off by going over the changes made to the ranking system before discussing the strategies and mindset. Riot Games has made some modifications to the League of Legends system. Not as significant as an active queue however there's still something. This is the first major shift, and everyone is thrilled about the news. Riot has finally ended the promotion series between divisions. As an example, you will do not have to play a best of 3 series once you have reached 100 LP in Gold 4. Instead, the remaining LP will be carried over to the next division. In this new system, each game that you play will source 7 active days, up to 28. To cap the number of active days you can play, players will need to play 4 ranked games. If players wish to be cruising to the finish of the season, they will need to play four games per month. It is easy to be sacked out of a rank therefore it's going to be harder for players to maintain their Elo. This is a great modification that makes diamond feeling more like a mark of achievement.
